The former Food Network star launched a free mobile game called ‘Paula Deen’s Recipe Quest,’ that features a cartoon version of Deen leading players to learn the basics of home cooking.  Afterwards players can step up their game by challenging themselves to start cooking a Deen’s restaurant, and then eventually open their own eatery afterwards.

The game has puzzles for players to beat in each level, and Paula has promised to have new puzzles added onto the game each week.

“I am a gamer at heart and never leave my home without my iPad,” Deen said in a release. “‘Paula Deen’s Recipe Quest’ is an incredible and one-of-a-kind game that will allow y’all to cook up a storm with me while solving exciting puzzles.”

The game also has a commercial that starts off with Deen asking her viewers if ‘they’re ready to have some fun?”  It then proceeds to break down into a series of slow motion scenes in her kitchen of her mixing flour, eggs, and other ingredients into a bowl.

Deen once faced a wave of controversy that cost her job on the Food Network back in 2013.  Since then she has slowly been rebuilding her reputation and taking on other endeavors with interest growing in her cookbooks and company Paula Deen Ventures, which just gained a $100 million infusion from a private Phoenix investor.

The game is a match-three game that is available to download now on iTunes or Google Play for free.
