The Handpick App Will Change How You Cook

Uber, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, apps are blowing up and dominating the market and for good reasons. They make life easier, more fun and they can hold our attention for long periods of time.

The newest app to join the frenzy is Handpick, a dish discovery list. This little app, free on both Android and iOS makes it easy for users to “pick ingredients and discover dishes.”

What makes this company special is that they are basing their data off of what’s popular on social media and the web. The company’s co-founder Payman Nejati mentioned how they are attacking the market, “We look at social media and global food consumption and are hoping to aggregate a billion user-generated food posts to help people shop smarter.”

The end goal for Handpick is to help e-commerce companies tackle the $100 billion food and beverage market but not by becoming a delivery service such as Instacart or Postmates

“We will never be a delivery, logistics, or warehouse company, but we’ll answer the question of ‘what should I buy when I look online?’” says Nejati. Instead the app looks to make it quick and easy for users to piece together ingredients to make simple meals and purchase the items needed with the click of a button.

With a stunning visuals, a simple process to finding ingredients and $3 million in the bank from investors, Handpick is on it’s way to taking over.
