With the growing popularity of the need for mobile devices to keep in touch while commuting, more-and-more businesses are looking for solutions to mobile video-conferencing. Logitech announced Monday that they might just have the device your business has been looking for to help out.
The new Logitech ConferenceCam Connect is a portable all-in-one video conference solution which can be used anywhere on the go. The new device can work with any computing device that has a USB connection, along with any video conferencing software such as Skype, Cisco Jabber, and Zoom.
Video conferencing mode allows the user to have a 90-degree field of view and supports 1080p HD with a 4x digital zoom. This allows you to be able to see everyone during a meeting clearly without any distorted feedback. The speaker phone has a “360-degree sound” radius that allows people to speak and be heard within a 12-foot range.
“For about the cost of an office chair, businesses of all sizes can now afford to quickly connect with customers, vendors and remote employees anytime and anywhere with the Logitech ConferenceCam Connect,” Jason Moss, general manager of Logitech’s Collaboration Group, said in a statement. “We believe there is simply no workspace that should not have videoconferencing capability, and the ConferenceCam allows us to connect to meetings no matter where we are.”
The new device will also have multiple features on a remote control that allow the user to operate camera features during meetings such as pan, tilt, zoom; as well as audio functions such as call, answer, volume, and mute. The device runs on battery or AC power, and has up to three hours of life before it needs to be recharged.
The new ConferenceCam Connect is expected to hit the consumer market in March around the world for approximately $499.00 USD. Logitech is offering a standard silver model along with a “limited edition” red version.
